For many professional woodworkers, their table saws form the cornerstones of their woodworking operations. For woodworking hobbyist and DIY junkies, benchtop Table saw. They are often the most logical option for their affordability and space-saving qualities.
One such saw is the Makita MLT100N. A saw that I have been using for over a year now and today I will write my detailed. And honest review of this Makita product.
The Makita MLT100N Table saw has a powerful 1,500-watt motor to deliver up to 4,500 rpm, with a large cutting capacity of 91mm at 90 degrees and 63mm at 45 degrees. Angle settings 0 to 45 degrees.
The Makita MLT100N features right and rear extension tables to enable a greater cutting capacity, a two-pole slide system for raising and lowering the blade for the most efficient and smoothest adjustment of the blade depth.
This is especially true when you’re working with wood. You want tools that will let you work quickly and efficiently without compromising the quality of your work.
Blade height and angle adjustments
Of all the saw’s features, it was the blade adjustment mechanisms that impressed me the most. The height adjustment action is of the smoothest and most effortless that I’ve experienced on a saw in the MLT100N. The angle adjustment knob allows for adjustments to the blade angle in smaller increments making fine, accurate adjustments a simpler task.
Considering the cost-effective component of this saw’s development it’s no surprise that it is not without its flaws and while cutting is when you will notice most of them
Precision and Performance
This particular model can be regarded as highly precise. It offers more than enough additional instruments so that you can cut wood with incredible accuracy. Smooth performance is one of the main advantages of the Makita MLT100N.
As far as the safety goes, it’s okay. Some premium features are lacking, but it makes sense if you take its affordability into consideration. It lets you view the blade as it contacts the material. There are two independent anti-kickback mechanisms integrated into the base. It’s great news because most models have only one anti-kickback system.
The On/Off switch is quite small and insufficiently visible. While it seems quite irrelevant for some people, the size of this switch can sometimes make a huge difference. As you may assume, the larger the switch is, the more chance you have to react in time.
