Types of Hot Tubs
Portable Vinyl -liner Hot tubs
These are less expensive, smaller, and use less power, for example, 110–120 V 15 A household power circuits.
Roto-molded Hot tubs
These are built as a single piece, with the shell and surrounding cabinet. They’ve got moulded seats.
Acrylic Hot tubs
These hot tubs have a cast acrylic shell that is supported by a frame structure and is usually surrounded by cedar or simulated wood-grain plastic skirt. They can typically seat two to seven people or more.
Cemented Hot tubs
These hot tubs can also be made of cement and built above-ground or in-ground, similar to a small swimming pool.
Wooden Hot tubs
Wooden hot tubs are frequently made of redwood or cedar and assembled from vertical staves, with the structure held together with metal bands, much like wooden barrels.
Stainless Steel Hot tubs
These are extremely durable and can be made in any shape or size.
Inflatable PVC Hot tubs
An inflatable hot tub is a spa structure that is filled with air. Air is pumped into a vinyl skin, which expands and solidifies. The most common shape is round.
