Kettle

A kettle, also known as a tea kettle, is a type of water-boiling pot with a lid, spout, and handle, or a small kitchen appliance of similar shape that functions independently. Electric kettles are frequently used to boil water without the use of a stove. When the water reaches boiling temperature, the kettle automatically deactivates, preventing the water from boiling away and damaging the heating element. A more upright design, such as a “jug”-style electrical kettle, can be more cost-effective to use because even one cup of water will keep the element covered.
